Folly Beach Pier, 101 E. Arctic Ave., Folly Beach, SC, 29439, United States.

Have you ever struggled with getting that "silky" look with moving water?  Do you wonder how some photographers get streaking clouds at mid day?  Join us for a half day workshop covering a single photographic theme, Long Exposures.  We'll discuss camera settings, filters, composition and more.  Click on the payment button to sign up for this popular mini-workshop.

Folly Beach Pier is located at the end of Folly Road right next to the "Tides" hotel. Parking is available for about $7 at the pier as well as several spaces along Arctic and Ashley Avenue.

What to Bring:

Your digital camera, a variety of lenses from wide angle to mid telephoto, any ND filters or polarizers that you own, a tripod, remote release, eyepiece cover for your camera(supplied by the manufacturer), bag lunch, water and snacks. You may want sunscreen, bug spray and water shoes/sandals. We will not be taking an official lunch break since this is a very short workshop.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be made in writing via email. No phone or social media messages will be accepted. Full refunds minus the cancellation fee ($15) will be given up to March 13, 2018. If you need to cancel after that date, a full refund minus the cancellation fee will be provided if your space can be filled. Cancellations made after March 13, 2018 will not be refunded if your space can not be filled.

This is a short but very involved field workshop to learn the art of taking long exposures with your digital camera. We will cover exposures with specialty filters and without. There will be a demonstration of the pro's and con's of many common filter types. It is not recommended that you invest in filters prior to the workshop. Simply bring what you already own.
